Where does the Overview/Introduction/Start Here module fit into the overall course map or design?

The Overview/Introduction/Start Here module is presented as the first module. It provides the goals and outcomes as well as instructor intro and contact information as well as a list of links to all referenced resources in the course.

What is the scope or range of the instructor’s role (i.e. Presenter, Facilitator, Coach, Mentor)?

The instructors role is to be a coach and mentor to help advise in students choices and decisions.

How are you introducing the course and yourself and how are you building the learning community?

My introduction is in the start here section of the course. The classroom app provides a mechanism for students to share their progress and ask questions. Additionally, Group meeting’s, messaging and document collaboration directed in the weekly modules provides access to community and gives students the ability to share their voice to the learning.

How will you address the infrastructure, system, and support needs and issues the learner may face?

Each module includes support guides for all apps used. The Google classroom system provides a help system. I am available for consultation on issues.

How is your instructional design approach realized in the modules?

The weekly modules activities and assessments align to the learning goals outlined in the provided 3-column table adhering to constructive learning.

Where are you sharing the main course goal and outcomes with your learners?

I am sharing the main course goal and outcomes in the overview/start here section. Also each week has an included learning objective .

How does the unit/module align outcomes/goals activities and assessment?

Week 1. Aligns to the foundational goal by becoming better storytellers while understanding unique aspects of the local community and Assessment assignment reflects on understanding.

Week 2. Aligns to the human dimensions goal by researching local subjects and refecting on subject by group.

Week 3. Aligns to the application goal by actively listening and recording interviews while reserching subject. Sharing a record of activities for assessments.

Week 4 Aligns to integration and learning to learn goals by organizing and analyzing information from multiple resources and assembling a storyboard.

Week 5 Aligns to Integration, human dimensions and Learning to learn goals by producing the final media project and assessing by reflection on the process.

What is the ratio or percentage of synchronous to asynchronous collaboration?

Almost every week’s modules contains the opportunity for synchronous collaboration through the built-in FaceTime Application and synchronous and asynchronous collaboration can be achieved thru messaging and the features built-into the document collaboration features of the instructor provided documents and student-created documents.
